In the 16th Century Brussels was already a very important trade centre of LACE.
In the 18th Century there must have been 10.000 women who made the wonderful lace...
Thos 18th Century really was THE GOLDEN AGE for Brussels lace.
NAPOLEON seemed to have been very fond of Brussels Lace and it is said that he bought large quantities
In the KANT- EN KOSTUUM MUSEUM you can admire the most particular examples and patterns...and very often there are demonstrations given!
Closed on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Opened: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10.30AM - 12.30PM and 13.30PM - 17.00PM.
On Saturdays and Sundays 14.00PM - 16.30PM
Who would like to have a guided tour must write a letter to ask......
