Luggage and bags: If you're on a proper hiking trip then a backpack/rucksack is the preferred method for carrying your luggage. A small day pack for your hikes is useful for carrying your lunch, camera and other bits and pieces needed.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Sturdy hiking boots or shoes, a waterproof coat and several layers of clothing depending on the weather.
Informal wear is quite fine though the cows seemed to be dressed in cumberbunds!

Photo Equipment: A camera with a good zoom lens for finding pics of cows.
