"Up the hill" Sintra Off The Beaten Path Tip by TinKan

You can walk up the hill to the Mours castle and to Pena Palace. This will talk an hour or so and is a real nice trip. When you walk up the hill you will see many very nice homes. Some of the homes have small eating places and you will see how some of the rich of Portugal live.

If it has been raining please take care on the wet leaves as it does get slick and a fall will ruin your trip.

Always keep your ears open and look over you sholder every now and then as this is a road and meny of the corners are blind ones and the drivers may not see you. Just use your head and remember you are sharing the road with cars, trucks and tour busses.
