"Uneishu Tomb" Unayshu Tomb Tip by leffe3

Unayshu Tomb, Petra: 4 reviews and 7 photos

To your right, at the entrance to the gorge that leads back to the Siq, are more impressive tombs, slightly less elaborate than the Khazneh. The first one you will, although not very clearly, is the Uneishu Tomb. This is one of the least visited of all the Royal tombs - its set back behind 'lesser' tombs and one level higher. Most visitors are so focussed on what is in front - the Necropolis and Amphitheatre, they walk past it.

There is also another distraction. Here is the start of the shopping alley! From here on in, stalls will offer you any tourist momento you may (or more likely not) want. There are a number of places that sell water - a vital part of a day in Petra. It sells for twice as much as in Wadi Musa (ie JD1 for a large bottle of water) but you need to decide between saving money and carrying 2 litre bottles per person.
