Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Shirts that wick away moisture like Nike Dri-Fit are great because otherwise you shirts get soaked in the intense heat.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Didn't take malaria pills. Need toilet paper but you can buy it there if you run out. Most toilets don't have any.

Photo Equipment: Camera cleaning gear and some filters to soften some of the harsh bright light. Some fast film for taking shots in museums and temples where flashes are not allowed. Digital cams were very handy for indoor shots because you could see right away if they turned out or not and you could take another one if neccessary.

Miscellaneous: Candy or pens to give to kids.
