First class train from Cairo to Aswan
by FireMike

While in Egypt we used buses, trains and boats. For really long haul trips, the train was great especially the night trains. That way you aren't wasting a day travelling and you save a nights accommodation.

Buses were pretty good too, only problem is the bad movies they play VERY loud. Ended up in a couple minibuses too. The one from Abu Simbel was packed tight and the air condition wasn't very good so we died in the 47 C heat.

Like I said earlier my boat trip on the Nile was amazing. But we also took a boat to Jordan. Much quicker, less hassle and I think cheaper (due to all the entry and exit taxes we had to pay) than going over land to get there.

Type: Bus
