  Relaxation at it's best
by FireMike

Probably the most relaxing 3 days of my life. Laying on a traditional felucca boat sailing down the Nile taking in the views, reading, playing chess and sipping the odd Stealla (Egyptian Beer).

You can travel north or south but going north (with the current from Aswan to Luxor) is much more common. You make a couple stops along the way at some temples. The boat travels from about 9am to 3pm then the boats pulls ashore and you camp for the night, sleeping on the boat.

Food is included in your tour price but you have to buy your own water and beer.

There are felucca captains all over the place along the esplanade by the river, but we went with the Jamica family.

Address: Aswan
Directions: Take a ferry over to Elephantine Island, the Jamaica family is right by the ferry dock.
