This was a great ranch house on the outskirts of Gunnison. The house is a two story A-framed house owned by Tammy Shelafo and her husband, who live their with their children and dogs. There are 3 or 4 different rooms, each with its own bathroom. The hosts are friendly and helpful in the most non-intrusive manner.

I was the only guest on the night I stayed and they gave me the best room- the mountain suite0 for no extra charge. The room has a separate sitting area and a bathroom with a claw foot tub. There was a nice large comfy bed, a television and several windows to take in the view. The room also has a separate entrance from the back and the room has its own entrance to the outdoor hot tub located on a screened in porch. There's no need to lock your doors out here in the country so no outside key is provided. Although, for privacy, which isn't really needed from these polite folks, the rooms each have a lock and key.

In the morning, Tammy fixed a great breakfast omelet along with home made cinnamon rolls, included with the room rate. The place was comfortable, safe and beautiful. I'd highly recommend it as an alternative to an area hotel.

Unique Qualities: The scenery is spectacular and the house is situated along a remote country road outsode of town.
