"Glastonbury - The Chalice Well" United Kingdom Off The Beaten Path Tip by silve64

United Kingdom Off The Beaten Path: 420 reviews and 440 photos

The Chalice Well is one of the oldest continuously used holy wells in Britain. Archaeology has shown that the Spring was used by prehistoric tribes who inhabited this land, and for the last 2000 years we can be fairly sure that the site has been in constant use.
The Chalice Well has a very large iron content which gives the well its rusty look.
Its really amazing to actual drink from the Chalice Well the HIGH iron content makes it feel like your drinking blood.
