"Palacio Nacional de Sintra" Top 5 Page for this destination Palácio Nacional de Sintra - Sintra National Palace Tip by acemj

The Sintra National Palace will be hard to miss with those two giant conical chimneys that rise above the kitchen. This ancient palace has been the subject of national attention ever since the 13th century when Dom Dinis began to concern himself with its preservation.

The interior contains some of the oldest azulejos in Portugal dating from the 15th century, particularly in the Royal Chapel and the Arab Room.
