"Markets" Cape Town Shopping Tip by rachel_sun

Cape Town Shopping: 99 reviews and 100 photos

Greenmarket Square has a daily market and is a great place to buy local crafts and get a bargain.Grand Parade market(wednesday and sunday) is a market more for local people and not visiters to buy stuff. But its a really lively and fun place to be.

What to buy: Craft Shops.

There are loads of craft shops all over Cape Town. Some of them sell township items that make great gifts like recycled tin boxes and toys. For good quality items, try the Siyakatala stall in the craft market at the Waterfront. The things made here are made by self help groups from the townships.
African Image on corner of Church and Burg Streets sells a huge range of new and old crafts. The prices here are very reasonable too.
