"Over the rivers by boat, over the dikes by bike" Doornenburg Transportation Tip by Pavlik_NL
Doornenburg Transportation: 1 reviews and 1 photos
As already told, Doorneneburg is situated there where the Rhine splits for the first time and so one can reach this village by boat on two sides. However, one first must have a boat - of course.
Traditionaly (and weatherpermitting) I prefer to go to here by bike and over the dikes.
The satelite-picture in this tip shows the splitting of the river Rhine and in it's fork the village of Doornenburg. The big purple (town) in the left-lower-corner is Nijmegen and more following the river North appears the outskirts of my town: Arnhem
