Interestingly enough, Dublin is as Roman Catholic as anywhere in the Republic of Ireland, yet it has two Protestant Cathedrals and no Roman Catholic one. Go figure.

Anyway, I am personally very strongly opposed to these Roman Catholic vs. Protestant strifes as I think it's political and not religious (as the Irish might want you to believe). I don't consider myself either Catholic or Protestant in this context. I do however consider myslef a Christian.

Anyway, that's enough of my take on Irish politics. I was going to say, Christchurch cathedral is an impressive place to visit - do so.
