Hohensalzburg - It's the big white castle dominating the West side of the Salzburg River. We took an audio tour of the castle, which discussed the previous residents of the castle, reviewed life in medieval Salzburg, and had a number of great artifacts to look at.

I saw people taking teh funicular up the hill to the castle, but since we are three guys in our 20's and 30's, we walked the road up to the castle.

You will tour much of the castle, with interesting stops in the room that houses the torture equipment, a room with models of the look of the castle through the years, and beautiful views from the top of the castle.

Overall, I thought it was a great audio tour, with good info and lots to see.

Directions: Go towards the huge castle dominating the west side of Salzburg River, you won't miss it.
