The minar and the mosque behind
by SirRichard

This minaret is a real landmark in Uzbekistan, in fact the tallest one in the country (46 metres). It is built all in brick, forming interesting drawings, with 14 parallel bands, which are not repeated. Inside is hollow and is possible to go onto the roof of the minaret via a special footbridge.
It was once used to hurle condemned to their deaths from this tower by order of the emir.
