  Riverside Staium
by cheekymarieh

The Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough replaces the old Ayresome Park ground (where the South Koreans had a famous victory against the Italians in the 1966 World Cup). The new Stadium will host an England international in June this year.

Throughout the football season there are regular Premiership games involving top internationals from several different countries. The team are currently in the Premier Division. Stars on show in the Middlsbrough team alone, at the moment include England internationals Gareth Southgate and Ugo Ehiogu, Slovkian international Szilard Nemeth, Aussie internationals Mark Schwarzer & Tony Vidmar, Cameroon internationals Geremi & Joseph Desire Job and the Italian talent of Massimo Macarrone. (We also had the newly retired Croatian Allan Boksic at the club - but we never saw the best of him ... in fact we saw very little of him at all!)

Middlesbrough were one of the few teams to have beaten Manchester United twice last year! Alex Ferguson must feel haunted by his ex coach Steve McClaren.

Equipment: In the winter months make sure you wear plenty of warm clothes as there is often an icy blast coming off the river. You may even want to bring a hat.
