Favorite thing: The moment you step over the Djurgårdsbron bridge from Strandvägen you are in Djurgården, which is an island right in the middle of Stockholm. The island used to be the property of the Royal Family, who's hunting domain it was. It is a beautiful city park with excellent nature and culturally has a lot to offer. Some things to see:

-Vasa Museum, the museum where the beautiful war ship Vasa is housed;
-Nordiska Museum, see the cultural hostory of Sweden from 1520 till nowadays;
-Skansen, get to see Swedish farms and houses, and a variety of animals including bears in the worlds first open air museum;
-Gröna Lund, Stockholms amusement park;
-Aquaria, fantasic aquarium with a tropical rainforest!;
-Junibacken, a great place for kids to play all day and experience Astrid Lindgren stories.
