(Various): "International Food" Information & Sources Tip by Kate-Me

Information & Sources, Melbourne: 25 reviews and 18 photos

Melbourne's international community is so diverse that you can find just about every cuisine imaginable there.
Most dominant are the Asian restaurants. Japanese can be expensive but most other Asian restaurants are quite reasonable and many offer 'lunch box' specials which are about half the price of the dinner main meals.
Italian (visit Carlton) and Greek (Greek Precinct in the city and also Oakleigh, for example) is also very widespread. Turkish, Lebanese, Egyptian and other Middle Eastern restaurants are becoming quite common, especially in Sydney Road in and around Brunswick. Footscray has many Vietnamese restaurants and some African, for example Ethiopian. The further you go out into the suburbs, the greater range of ethnic restaurants you'll find.

Favorite Dish: I haven't been to a bad Asian restaurant yet in Melbourne - I like them all!

Address: All throughout the city and suburbs
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Price: less than US$10
