HanWoori: "HanWoori" South Korea Restaurant Tip by bruingirl

South Korea Restaurants: 121 reviews and 107 photos

A traditional Korean restaurant. There are several rooms that are availabe upon reservation. Upon entering the lobby, there is a board that indicates which rooms have been taken by which people. Each room is named after a different flower. The rooms are designed in the traditional Korean look with tables that are low to the ground. You are supposed to sit on mats that are provided. Before entering the room, it is mandatory to remove your shoes so that the floor (bah-dak) does not get dirty.

Favorite Dish: Korean food is great! Everything from the Naeng-myun to the shabu-shabu. Shabu-shabu is a soup-like dish that is intended to be shared among many people. It is cooked on a special type of heating device/cooker where vegetables and carpaccio-like slices of beef get boiled in this special broth. Noodles are placed in it later.
