Europe Off The Beaten Path: 344 reviews and 679 photos

Egeskov is one of the most beautiful water-castles in Danmark and it also houses a large entertainment park including a museum of vintage cars, aeroplanes, agricultural machines, a maze, a large treehouse and a lot more.
The castle is still inhabited by the family of Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurig-Bille and had been in posession of his family for more than 200 years now.
Take the road #9 from Odense to Svendborg the you change to road #8 at Kvaerndrup and go westwards and there you will see plenty of sign-posts for the castle

The castle and museums are open from April to September
from 10.00 a.m. till 05.00 p.m.
in july even untill 08.00 p.m.
Entrance-fee to the park is 60,- DKR
extra-fee to visit the castle interior : 55,- DKR
