"River Cruise - Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn" Bangkok Favorite Tip by Audrey118

Favorite thing: This is possibly the most photgraphed temple....funny but I really think it looked much more awesome during the sunset to the 'dawn'.

Fondest memory: Wat Arun has a long, elongated, Cambodian-style, prang, the tower, and four minor towers symbolising Mount Meru, the terrestrial representation of the thirty-three heavens. The Prangs are covered with pieces of porcelain, which Chinese boats coming to Bangkok used as ballast. The prang is about 82 meters covered with many colours of Chinese porcelain.
