"The wildlife mostly hides itself during the day" Top 5 Page for this destination Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe Off The Beaten Path Tip by Pavlik_NL

Deer, the most graceful wildlife in the park
by Pavlik_NL

The National Park the "Hoge Veluwe" has a wide range of wildlife. Nowhere in the Netherlands you can find so many species of mamals then here (except for a Zoo like Burgers in Arnhem). However it becomes quite "off the beaten path" for most if you have to get up very early to see them in their natural habitat. Around sunrise there are small groups allowed inside the park to spot deer, wild bore or even foxes. During the day you might see once and a while a deer, but have better changes in spotting a rabbit or squirle.
