  Japanese Gardens in Kildare
by Krumel

The Japanese Gardens in the town of Kildare (otherwise notorious for its traffic jams) are definitely worth a visit. The beautiful walk is laid out to symbolise man?s life from birth to death, where decisions have to be made at crossroads and bridges need to be crossed.

The garden belongs to the adjoining National Stud, which is a Must for horse-lovers. You will get a guided tour around the stables where you will get an insight into the bloodstock industry. On the walk along the paddocks you can get a glimpse of such famous race horses as Vintage Crop, or watch the foals play in the fields.

On the same grounds you can visit St. Fiachra?s Garden, a landscape dominated by little lakes and a beehive hut with a little Waterford Crystal display.
