  Vernal Falls from the footbridge
by mrclay2000

Yosemite Falls is viewable from several parts of the park road and even through the glass-ceilings of the shuttle buses. No effort is required. On the other hand, Vernal Falls and many of the others do require a modest hike into the woods to witness their merits. If you're willing to leave the car while at Yosemite, you might as well pick a spectacle worth your while.

Directions: corner edge of Upper Pines campground, near Stop #19 (Happy Isles) of the valley shuttle loop
