"bungy!!" Adventure Activities Tip by margaretvn

Near Queenstown there are 4 different Bungy jump chances and although I admit I did not jump (too old and a self confessed coward!) it was fun to watch.
The original Bungy site is 43 metres high above the Kawarau River and this is the only bungy with a "splasdown" option.
The Nevis Highwire Bungy is 134 metres high and starts with a 35 mintue 4-wheel drive to a high country sheep station. Then you go out on the cable car to the jump pod which is hanging on 380 metre long cables across the valley.
The third option is the Ledge Bungy and Swing which is 47 metres high. First you go with the Gondola to the Skyline, then you are strapped in and clipped into position before you pull the self release. After the fall the ropes send you in a huge arc through the air
Then there is the historical Skippers Canyon at 71 metres but this is only open for special occasions.
