"Colorado River" Colorado River Tip by Sharrie

Favorite thing: * About 6 million years ago, the young Colorado River began to slice into the upper layers of the canyon. Gouging inch by inch over centuries, the river reached the schist 4000 feet below the rim & continued to cut. Wind & water simultaneously wear away & widening as well as deepening the canyon's floor & walls.

So, that's it. Amazing how time & natural forces carved out the most beautiful landscape on earth, isn't it?
