Favorite thing: The farthest point west that you can go in Britain, without leaving the mainland. The Land’s End area is a tourist area that gives an overview of Cornwall’s past.

Fondest memory: To see some spectacular views of the coastline and the Longships Lighthouse, walk through the attractions through to the first and last house. This house has now been converted to a souvenir shop. Longships Lighthouse is a mile and a half (2.4km) off the coast. It sits on a group of rocks that rises 60ft (20mtr) out of the sea and the lighthouse stand a further 52ft (18mtr) tall. It has a fog horn signal that sends out a four second blast every 4 minutes.

If it a particularly clear day you may see the Wolf Rock Lighthouse, 7.5 miles (12km) to the south. During fog, this lighthouse makes two bangs every 5 minutes.
