A wonderful discovery - by chance. I was given an address for another restaurant, which I couldn't locate. Then I found this one tucked away in a dark alley - liked the door, went in and... surprise: it was inside an old palace. There weren't many people, but among them several women - all middle eastern. No other tourists in sight. Heavenly!

Favorite Dish: a truly fantastic delicious unforgettable shish taouk. the best i had in syria. There's no set menu: it changes every day - but one of the waiters speaks some English.
