Trekkers: "Good value accommodation in Wellington." New Zealand Hotel Tip by worldkiwi

Trekkers is really good value and is centrally located in Wellington. It is actually a combination of three accommodation types: a hotel, motel, and backpackers. Some friends and I stayed in the motel part for $NZ30 each per night - that was just a few dollars more than the backpackers and we got our own bathroom and kitchen and a lounge with a TV!! The style is 50s, but what the heck... excellent value. There's a friendly bar on the premises too.
