Deir Mar Sarkis is the monastery of Saint Sergius and Bacchus, two venerated martyrs. It's an old monastery whose church was built on top of a temple dedicated to Apollo. It's interesting to visit for the church - really impressive - that looks at time more like a pagan shrine that a christian church. It's also a good place to go and drink some good sweet red wine: just wander around and a priest will kidnap you to have a glass. It's produced in the monastery, and they are quite proud of it: once you've drunk, they will remind you to visit their church - but it appeared that offering their wine to taste was their priority

Directions: after santa tecla,s monastery, go through the siq, and at the end turn left and follow the road
