"Packing List" Portugal Packing List Tip by lmci

Portugal What to Pack: 29 reviews and 22 photos

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Canadian 'snowbirds' lured to the sunny Algarve January through March by pictures of palm trees, flowers in bloom and folks lounging poolside should be prepared nonetheless for cool mornings and evenings. The day warms up quickly, temperatures at noon can be very warm to hot, then cools off just as quickly with sunset. Sweaters and jackets needed.

Commercial laundries offer 'by the pound', wash and folded, as well as finished services. Coin self- laundries are much more expensive than they are at home.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Ah, yes .. bring a face cloth, bar soap and shampoo! Towels are supplied in hotels, but a face cloth is not, and the little bars of soap and little bottles of shampoo we are accustomed to in hotels at home may or may not be supplied.

Photo Equipment: Film, photoprocessing, even same day service are readily available at comparable prices to Canadian.

But .. if you are shooting video .. bring enough tape for your holiday. The North American NTSC standard is not used, therefore not available in Portugal.
