By sunny weather is very nice to make a picnic at Devín Castle. Pictouresque ruins of the castle are above the confluence of the Danube and river Morava. Devín became an important defence bastion of the kingdom of Hungary.
The castle had very rich past from the period of Celts and Romans. After the decay of Big-Moravia imperium was built the castle from stones. In 14th century was enlarged by big gardian tower. From 16th century the castle had a lot of different owners. In 1809 it was destroyed by the advancing Napoleon´s army.
