"Statue of Liberty" Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island Tip by littlesam1

  Statue of Liberty

Here is another picture I took the same day of the Statue of Liberty. It was a very cold October day but the sky was beautiful that day. I have always loved the way the clouds behind the statue looked in these pictures. We about froze on the boat ride out to the statue that day. My one big disappoint was that I did not get to go to the top of the statue. I was on a tour that day and we only had a short time to spend at the statue before going back to meet the tour bus. So there was not time to wait in line to go to the top. I did get to go to the top of the base it sits on which is quite high. I have not been back recently but plan to go back and revisit the statue on my next trip to New York.
