Woodgreen's menu doesn't offer a lot of selection, but the items they serve are made with expert care and are well-known in Toronto. They have been rated the best, or among the top Fish & Chip shop by a number of different local consumer rankings.

The decor hasn't been changed since about 1955, but that doesn't bother me. It is enjoyable to watch the couple who run the place while I'm waiting for my order. Pay special attention to how the woman wraps and adds salt and vinegar to the chips. You can tell she's been honing her technique for several decades.

Favorite Dish: Plain old Fish & Chips or Fish & Onion rings are my faves. Just an order of chips is good if you just want a snack. Lots of people order the fish cake, so it must be good too.
