"Driving Tips" Fort Worth Transportation Tip by 1Nomad

Fort Worth Transportation: 35 reviews and 46 photos

If your flying into DFW Airport, you'll definitely want to rent a car. Pick a car suitable to your needs. Compacts will start around $25 US a day and mid size cars around $40. It's the only way to get around if you want to see a lot. Everything here in this area and in Dallas is spreeeeaaaaad out. It's not New York where everything is stacked. You can take cabs if your just going to be here for the day and want to spend all day at Grapevine Mills Mall or Outdoor World. But if your going to be a while, get a car! If your here for business to the downtown area of Fort Worth, you can catch a ride on the train (I can't recall the name), bus or cab. If you have traveled here by car, then by all means, us it. Fort Worth and Dallas are way behind the public transportation curve, but they are trying. Just be aware that when you do get a car, you'll be in plenty of traffic. That's because we are behind the curve. As for rental agencies, they are all here and all over. Not just at the airport.
