"Old fashioned train ride" Fort Worth Things to Do Tip by 1Nomad

Fort Worth Things to Do: 396 reviews and 747 photos

We'll, if you going to come to Fort Worth, you'll need to pack the kids and take a ride on the "T". It stands for Tarantula. This is an old steam locomotive from around sometime in the 1800's. All of the cars are open. There are no windows. So although winter here is not really that bad, you would need a fairly warm coat if you come between December and April. The kids will love it. This train runs from the Stockyards area (down near Billy Bob's Texas) to Grapevine, Texas. There's plenty to keep you entertained along the way. Check out the "T" website for more information.

Address: 1 Liberty Plaza, Grapevine, Texas
Directions: Accessible from State Highway 114 or 121, exit on to Main Street and head North. The Depot will be on the right, at 707 South Main, just North of Dallas Road.
