Napoleon's Horse, The Musee de l'Armee, Paris
by Paul2001

The Musee de l'Armee is one of the four museums located in the Invalides complex. It is arguably the best military history museum in the World. Really its only rival for that title is the Imperial War Museum in London. The collection is quite vast and includes everything from medieval armor to tanks from World War II.
I think that this is an important museum to visit if you are interested in the history of France itself. Military affairs plays such an important role in France's political and social life that this museum will provide a clear insight into France's history. All aspects of France's military history are represented from it's great victories at Austerliz to its defeats in Mexico. Naturally a great deal of the exhibits are dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte. On display are his death mask, his tent, the clothing that he wear on his deathbed and his horse. There are also large exhibitions dedicated the First and Second World Wars.
