Hansa Bryggen, Bergen: 6 reviews and 6 photos
Favorite thing: An important part of Bergen's identity is the old wooden warf buildings called "Bryggen"
Bryggen was placed on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1979 and is now one of 4 sites on that list from Norway. These old warf buildings date back to the 14th century when Bergen was part of the Hanseatic League's trading empire. Another known (and the largest) Hansa city is Lübeck in Germany.
