"The Rialto Bridge Market" Rialto Bridge Tip by Maeniel
Rialto Bridge, Venice: 174 reviews and 301 photos
The buildings of the bridge have been converted into shops, and the vast majority of these are linked to gifts for tourists. This is the perfect spot to buy those presents for everyone back home whilst getting to see the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge. The market spreads out on both sides of the bridge and caters to everybody's budget. The best bit I found was listening to some of the locals ordering in Italian. Good views and if they are still there, you could get to listen to the musicians as stated in the wake-up call under general tips. I did all of my shopping here apart from two things - A masque and some glass (The burano islet is better). The bridge is one of a very few bridges that span the Grand Canal.
