The Currier Gallery of Art museum holds more than 12,000 items including European artists as well as works of American painters of the 20th Century.

The art gallery is house at a closed textile mill that at its peak employed 17,000 workers. The complex of brick buildings stretches for more than a mile. It also houses restaurants, college classrooms, and even residential housing.

The picture of the painting is by Thomas Hart Benton, his style is called Illustrative Regionalism.
