"Astronomical Clock" Astronomical Clock Tip by Krumlovgirl

Astronomical Clock, Prague: 163 reviews and 260 photos

a. This clock was built in the 1400s and the legend goes that afterwards the architect was blinded so that he couldn?t build anything else like it again elsewhere. (Always made me wonder how he fixed it if it broke?) It is basically a big clock in Old Town Square that on the hour has a little song and dance number by mechanical people. It?s actually pretty neat and you should check it out, since it?s one of those things that Prague is kind of known for. The clock itself measures the phases of the moon, so don?t glance up at it trying to figure out the time.
