The first 'signs' of civilisation - schaischo camp

Fondest memory: Coming down from the trek, the first inhabited place you come to is Schaischo - basically just a campsite with a caretaker who runs a small shop selling meals and the ever-present coke (which I have to confess I bought - after drinking green tea for 15 days it was pretty nice!).

The trekking route to Hushe is very pretty passing hillsides with streams, small trees, 'dog-roses' and other flowers and small shaepherds' huts used when villagers from Hushe bring their flocks up to these high pastures to graze.

I would recommned walking from Hushe up to Gondogoro Camp as a 3 day walk because the scenery is so pretty and there are still some spectacular peaks as well as galcier walking near Gonodogoro Camp.
