Maastricht Transportation: 88 reviews and 114 photos

The best way to get around in Maastricht is getting a bus at the Central Railroad station. To get to the city center you can take all the busses that - when you enter te busstation from the trainstation - depart on the west-side of the busstaion. The best thing to do, is buying at the trainstation a "strippenkaart" which contents about 7 rides. If you buy your ticket in the bus, you will have to pay more money! To get to the citycenter, you get off the bus at the Markt, the excact name is "boschstraat" its the first stop, after the bus has crossed the river Maas. Of course, if you are not carrying a lot of luggage with you, you can walk to the city-center. You can reach the square "Vrijthof) and the market, by a 10 minute walk. Leaving the main entrance of the station, you just walk straight on, and after you have passed the old bridge over the river Maas, you have reached the old town.
