Favorite thing: St John's Tower, in Williamson Square by the markets, used to have a restaurant situated at the top where you could get great views over the city centre - see Steventilly's Liverpool page for some pics.
Now it is the home of the award winning radio station "Radio City 96.7 FM". Fabulous advertising for them as it dominates the citycentre and you'll be able to see it from most locations. Unfortunately visits are by appointment only today....wonder if I could arrange that on the premises of taking pics for a certain website!

Fondest memory: Well just recently I did manage to arrange a litle VT tour up the tower! Its normally only possible on a Saturday or Sunday at 1.30 and again at 3.00pm but I engineered a visit Godd Friday 2003.
The tour is mainly to show the (supposed ! ) views and to peep through the studios where the radio station is broadcast from. A short video presentaion is also given on the the transition of the tower from restaurant to radio station.
Check out the travelogue for what we saw or did not see on my Merseyside page travelogue!
