Krakow is a city of young people. Its citizens’ average age is 37.5 years, with over 60% of the population being under 45, whereas the number of elders of 65 or more amounts to 15.4%.
There are over 100,000 students and 15 institutions of higher education including famous and one of the best and oldest in Europe Jagiellonian University (est. 1364; over 27,000 students and 3,100 faculty members nowadays). Over the past centuries it has educated myriad great men, NICOLAUS COPERNICUS (1491-95) and POPE JOHN PAUL II (1938-39, 1942-46) in that number.
Sometimes the young people are so amused that may cause taking pics a little difficult.
Look at my picture of... Florianska Street. Was he interested so much in my camera? Did he know I take him a pic and put it in VT? I'm not sure :-).
