"Mind the Gap. Door opening." England Transportation Tip by emilianarciso

England Transportation: 91 reviews and 64 photos

The "Tube" as the English most generously call it is the most convienent way to get around London. It is a metro transit system that is underground in the main city and then ubove ground the outskirts of London.
It is so much eiser than walking, since the London roads can be crazy to try to figure out! Just pick up a map, and it will show you where all the main toursit sites are and how to get there.

One tip, however. Do not attempt to take the stairs from the train deck up to the main road. Heh... I did that once. Worst mistake of my trip! We are all "in shape" in American standards.. however these hundereds of steps are more than we could bare. Yes, granted, the elevators around crowded, but very eficient.

Mode: AROUND
Type: Subway/Metro
