Echuca is about 2 hours north of Melbourne up on the Murray River which borders NSW. It is the paddle steamer capital of Australia.

There is plenty of early history in this region from when Echuca was a bustling river port. You can take a paddle steamer down the river, hire a houseboat, go fishing, swimming or water-skiing. There are also so lovely nearby town, red gum forests and fauna parks.

Address: The Murray River Region
Directions: via the Hume and Northern Highways
