Texas Things to Do: 295 reviews and 712 photos

Waco is one of Texas' major cities and lies in a rich agricultural region of the Brazos river valley. The Texas Rangers Museum and Hall of Fame is built near the site of the original Texas Ranger fort. You can also learn about the days of the Chisholm Trail which went through Waco enroute to the North. Baylor University right in the city is the largest Baptist University in the world. The Armstrong Browning Library is a great little place to visit. has the worlds largest collection of works and memorabilia of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Dr Pepper's Museum is also here.

Unfortunately Waco is also remembered for the Davidian tragedy that ended in April 19, 1993 with alleged suicides and killings.
