The Sturgeon River Falls are not the most accessible, but they are well worth a visit. In order to reach them, you need to take a National Forest road - paved, but a little rough in spots - south of SR 38. They're about 15 miles SW of Baraga - or 70 miles west of Marquette, if you are coming from that direction. The falls themselves are about a 25 minute walk from the parking area. The best time to see the falls is in springtime when it is literally roaring with the spring snowmelt. Here my friends Mena and Stuart are enjoying the refulgence of nature!
