"Visit the Acropolis" Athens Acropolis Tip by Paul2001

It is likely that the only reason that you decided to stay in Athens for any length of time is to visit the Acropolis. Well it is well worth the time spent in Greece's capital city.
The Acropolis is one of the sights that live up to expectations. It is stunning with the huge Parthenon, outer satillite temples, and very fine museum. As the centre of Ancient Greek society and civilization, the Acropolis can be considered as possibly the the most important archeological site in all of Europe.
My only disappointment with the Acropolis is that because it receives three million visitors a year, it can be very crowded. This makes taking photographs like this one rather difficult if you do not want masses of tourist blocking your shot.
